Joy Lasseter

Joy Lasseter grew up in the lush, tropical country side of Florida.
Isolated from town, television and other modern influences, she spent many happy
hours playing in nature.

Nature is still the primary inspiration for her creativity.
Throughout her life, Joy has expressed her creativity in many forms,
photography, weaving, pottery, drawing and painting in a variety of media
from pastels to watercolor, oils and now, acrylics on canvas.

The artist says, "There is such peace, joy and discovery in working with
naturešs themes and colors!  I want to share them with everyone."  When I
spend time in nature I forget myself and I am caught up in the wonder
and majesty of the master plan. I feel awed by the serenity, beauty and
inspiration all around me.

Joyšs paintings capture the mood and atmosphere of the locations she
visits. She uses a tonal palette with impressionist brush strokes.
She says, ŗIt is important to allow the viewer to participate in the
experience through imagination and memories. I bring naturešs beauty indoors
to our living and working spaces.
Nature is the great healer of our stress and strife.
And naturešs colors and designs never go out of style!
