Award winning artist Jolene Scott has been a life long, self taught artist. Taking just a few
classes in school. She was constantly sketching on anything she could get hold of.
She postponed art school, focusing instead on her other love. The inspiration of most of
her art-Horses. She has trained and shown many horses on the local and national level.
She still starts young horses, gives lessons and trains barrel horses.
In 2008, longing to add color to her sketches, she started taking a painting class and is well
on her way toward mastering those colors. Now there is no turning back. Her paintings
are very detailed. Putting all the fine hairs into place and getting every muscle just right.
She draws the viewer into the painting. Allowing them to feel the subject through her
Clark County born and raised, she loves the beauty of the area and is inspired by it
everyday, rain or shine. She is the mother of three wonderful girls that make great models
for her paintings. Besides her painting she also enjoys hiking, trail riding, singing and
spending time with her family.
Her focus this year is on rodeo style paintings. As well as a themed series of paintings.
She plans to enter them in many national level art contests. She does commission
paintings as well as sell her originals.
